Now that you have complied a comprehensive set of notes on your volcano, it is time to put them to use. Each type of volcano has its own set of hazards, and each volcano has its own hazards as well. It is important to know more about the specific type of volcano you are going to build next to because that will affect how you elect to proceed in proposing where and how to build the new city.

Here is a list of pieces of information that you will need in order to make the proper recommendations, specific for you volcano:

  • How does your volcano erupt?

  • What are the characteristics of your volcano's eruption(s)?

  • What are the causes of eruptions of this type of volcano?

  • How often does your volcano erupt?

  • What is the general likelihood of another eruption in the relatively near future?

  • What kind of damage is to be expected if the volcano were to erupt?

  • Are certain areas around the volcano safer than others?
